Be Size Happy

I love this! We all see these supermodels that weight about as much as my thigh and yes they are beautiful..

But we don't all have to skinny to be beautiful.. We need to be healthy.. And we all beautiful no matter what our size is!

What we should all be striving for is happy with our bodies and healthy! Remembering that we are all individuals and our bodies are all different! So don't forget to love yourself and remember WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL!

Just wanted to drop this little reminder! <3 Have a wonderful Saturday night and a blessed Sunday!

Things I've learned..

Happy Friday!!

Over my almost a year of being a Fitness Coach for Beachbody I have come across a lot of misunderstandings about health and fitness.. The first and most common.. Starving yourself to lose weight..

You need to eat food.. Especially when you are working out..
The average caloric intake recommended for men from age 19-30 is between 2,400 and 2,800. 31-50 2,200 to 2,600.
The average caloric intake recommended for women age 19-30 is between 2,000 and 2,400 calories daily. 31-50 are recommended 1,800 to 2,200 per day and women over 51 are recommended 1,600 to 2,200 daily.

These numbers vary because of your activity.. If you are very active (i.e. working out) go on the high end of the scale.. If you are not active then go on the low end of the scale. You can adjust these numbers by 200 calories either way to find what works for your body to lose or maintain weight. But never go below, 1,200 calories for women and 1,800 for men, as you can end up with deficiencies.

I was SHOCKED to say the least when I started working out and having problems with losing weight found that I was eating WAY below what I should have been calories wise. I couldn't believe how much food you actually need to be eating! The trick is eating the right calories.

I mean you can eat fried chicken and pie to your hearts content and get to your caloric intake for the day.. But you won't lose weight.. So what are the right calories? What should I be eating?

Veggies
Fruit
Whole Grains
Lean Proteins (Chicken, Fish, Lean Beef, Lean Pork, Sea Food)

Stay away from
White bread
Refined Sugars (in a LOT of food so keep an eye open)
Anything processed

If you look at it makes sense. :) And of course your portions make a different too. ;)

So with all that in mind I'm off to find dinner for my man and I! :) Happy eating!

Life as I know it...

Life as I know it has been changing and going different directions over and over again! Driving me a bit nuts to be completely honest!

So because of all of the changes I feel the need to set myself some goals..

Family: To be there for my family as much as possible.. To support them.. To give them my time.. (They are my purpose and it is always my goal to become better and better that this)

Financial: To become financially sound.. Which I am sure we have all or are all experiencing some sort of these kinds of problems. This includes developing 2 home businesses.

(IF ONLY!)

Fitness: It is my goal to workout 6 days a week.. This is for a lot of reasons.. To be healthy.. To be Fit.. To be confident.. And love myself

I feel like having these things written down.. And sharing them with all of you keeps me accountable.. You all know what it is important to me.. These are my basic goals.. And there are SOOO many things that are a part of these 3.. What are your goals???

My WHY

So I've been thinking a lot.. As I'm sure most of us have been as the new year begins.. About why I have made the decisions I have in my life and why and how I am where I am and if there are things that need to be adjusted to make things better. Which is also why I am doing the PUSH challenge I told you about in Happy 2013.

All of my life decisions revolve around my family. My man and the girls. <3

So here are some of my WHYS for life.

WHY I workout: To be everything I can be for my family.. Don't get me wrong.. I do this for me too.. But I want to be able to play Volleyball with the girls in the yard.. Take them Skiing/Snowboarding.. To have confidence that I haven't had in a long time.. Being able to enjoy the beach when we go as a family.. To love myself.. Which allows me to in turn love them even more.. (if you aren't happy with yourself it will show through with how you treat others). To be healthy.. And be there for my family longer then a few years.. I'm on my way to where I want to be but not quite there yet.

Before 215lbs      Current

WHY I became a Beachbody Coach: To be able to be with my family.. I've spent too many years working 40-70 hours a week.. And missing out on everything.. To become financially secure which I have never been in my adult life.. To support my family.. To help people.. I've always had a passion for helping others.. And being a coach and helping people with their fitness and health (something I am passionate about) has been rewarding to me in many more way then financially.

These are my main focuses this year.. These are the things that I am determined to do my best at this year.. I am working on goal setting and I will be telling you about them soon! :) Please share some of your WHYS!

Happy 2013!

Happy New Years All!!

Oh man its been a while! The holidays have been so insane... I'm not really sure how I made it through them! lol! Starting with the twins birthday on the 15th, my birthday on the 22nd, and on and on, not ending until today.

I got a bit off track with my working out.. Disappointed in myself.. But back on track 100% now! This morning I did TurboFire Fire 55 (insane! 55 minutes of intense cardio!) feeling amazing!

I have set myself some goals for 2013.. I wouldn't call it a New Years resolution.. Just goals to achieve.. I have an additional 20-25 lbs to lose.. Becoming financially secure.. Are a couple of them. Of course the weight loss is in my hands and will be more easily attainable. Becoming financially secure, especially in this economic climate is not as easy.. However, today I started a 30 day challenge by Chalene Johnson (creator of TurboFire and CheLEAN Extreme) that is about lifestyle changes and creating goals and organizing yourself to become more successful. I am really looking forward to the next 30 days and all the things I am going to learn!

Do you have any goals set for this year??

It has been really nice spending extra time with my man and the girls.. Since they are all off school at the moment. :) Lots of quality time and I for one am LOVING it! Off I go! Lots to do... and you will hear from me again soon!

Had to share!

Hey Folks! I just HAD to share this with you all!

I have been working out for just short of a year.. And am actually smaller now then I was when I was in high school!! I can't honestly tell you the last time I weighed 173 lbs.. But I am now!! This is so exciting!!!!

It hasn't been an easy road but it has been a completely worth while one!

Okay.. So I've been busy helping my family members with their businesses.. I helped my dad at his Natural Food store today and my uncle at his design shop today.. I'm so tired! Being on my feet all day is something I'm not exactly used to anymore! Still no luck in finding a job but I am at least keeping myself busy helping the family.

I've got a few Christmas presents for the girls that I just have to go pick up.. They are awesome! And I will take pics and share as soon as I have them in hand! I'm so terrible and always wait till the last second to get Christmas shopping done.

My loving man made me dinner and it is now ready so I best go get it! Talk again soon!

Good Day!

It always amazes me how busy my life can get! I know we are ALL busy at this time of year.. I just can't seem to get myself a plan each day.. lol!

Anyway! I started out my day with a awesome workout from TurboFire - Core 20. And let me tell you I can feel my CORE lol.. And I'm loving the fact that I am the smallest I've been since high school! :)

And this was my breakfast! Chocolate Shakeology, a organic banana, organic smooth peanut butter, a little local honey and 2% milk. :) SOOOOOO YUMMY!

The girls are at their moms :( Missing them SOOO much! When they come back it is the twins 14th Birthday! We will be having a bunch of girls over and I'm trying to figure out things for them to do..... Any ideas?! In the past we have done tie dye shirts and made bracelets.. Gotta come up with something new!

We also need to get our Christmas tree up! Im ashamed to say we've been too busy to get the house decorated yet! :/ Soooo not like me!

Okay I'm off to go and help my uncle at his shop. He has a design business. Does shirts and signs and whatnot.. I love it! :)

Ups and Downs / Craftiness

I have had some amazing things happen! As I mentioned before I am a Beachbody coach. For those of you who don't know what Beachbody is it is a company that sells fitness programs and equipment. You may have heard of P90X or INSANITY...

Yep thats Beachbody. Anyway.. I'm a Independent Fitness Coach basically I help people stay motivated and on track and help them with fitness and diet questions and problems. One lady that I have been helping for a long time messaged me the other day. And she has had a up and down relationship with her fitness journey.. She starts and stops and gets discouraged.. But every time she goes a little farther and does a little better! Anyway I do my best to help her and keep her going. She thanked me.. Thanked me for making a difference in her life and for caring and for supporting her when no one else does! This is exactly why I am a Coach and why I love it.. To help people.. It is such an amazing feeling to make a difference in someones life and to help them reach their goals! Just had to share because this made my week! :) And my ab workout today felt AMAZING! Can't wait till I can see those abs cuz I sure can feel them!!

Totally unrelated subject! I was talking with the girls the other day about Christmas gifts and how I think we should make something for our friends and family instead of stressing about coming up with enough money for everyone! The girls loved this idea and today I started looking for ideas! I have found some amazing things on Pinterest! Like

Homemade bath salts! (Totally check out everythingetsy.com for this stuff it is amazing!)

Shrink Plastic beads for necklaces!

I see a lot of fun in the near future making gifts for everyone!!!
